Dr. Christopher Coley is the Head of Department for the Social Data Science & Policy department at the Amrita University School of Social & Behavioural Sciences in Faridabad and Amritapuri, India. He is also a Researcher and Program Manager at Amrita’s AMMACHI Labs and the Center for Women’s Empowerment & Gender Equality, where he also obtained his doctorate. Apart from administration, teaching and research, his primary objective is to explore the intersections of gender equality and sustainable development in the local, national, and global contexts. His current research work includes understanding critical masculinities as they relate to women’s empowerment, and in developing evidence-based policy recommendations that address multi-dimensional poverty for individual and community resilience.
